About Dr Emma
For the past four years, I have also been helping aspiring medical students with their applications through online tuition and in-person academic summer schools, totalling over 40 hours of mock interviews and one-to-one advice sessions. During this time I developed a thorough grasp of what it takes to be a prime candidate.
I am also well experienced in providing mock interviews for Oxbridge medicine, having created multiple practice interviews based on my own experiences and those of my colleagues. Furthermore, if you inform me of the college you wish to apply to or where you currently have an interview, I will personalise the mock interview by adding questions that are more likely to come up at those particular colleges depending on the interviewer.

I specialise in helping students prepare for their medical school applications, including Oxbridge Medicine. There are lots of aspects to consider when applying to medical school, so the earlier you start preparing, the better off you will be!
Some of the elements that will be covered include reflecting on work experience, preparing for the admissions tests BMAT and UCAT, constructing and perfecting a personal statement, efficient and effective wider reading, medical hot topics, medical ethics, preparing for the medical school interview, and more.
In addition to in-person advice, I have also created many documents to complement the sessions that I send to my students to read at their leisure. These documents hopefully provide an additional source of information to both inspire and help students achieve their potential and shine in their application and interview.

Perfect! Emma was very helpful in aiding my preparation for Oxbridge medicine interview. She diligently customized her tutoring to my needs, making her exceptional among the different tutors. I super highly recommend!
- Good: Good deductive reasoning; good use of technical vocabulary and scientific concepts; clear thought processes; broad and detailed understanding of medical sciencesDr Emma's response :
Could improve: Making answers more concise for time purposes; reflect on answers about why medicine by focussing on skills needed in medicine and why they are important - consider what you would have done differently/ how you wish to apply the concepts to your clinical practice
For the future: think about what skills and attributes you have that will make you a good doctor

Emma is a very well-read, proficient, and trustworthy tutor. She taught me everything there is to know about medical school interviews and more. We had some very interesting and in-depth discussions about the different topics in medicine, such as ethics, hot topics, and the NHS. She also challenged my opinions and exposed me to many new concepts and ways of thinking. What's more, she gave me many handouts for me to keep and read before my interviews. Thank you, Emma!
Emma is such a wonderful Tutor, we did a practice medicine interview and she was very patient and thorough. Her explanations were clear and simple, I can't recommend her enough!
