About Gurmeen

My teaching approach focuses on making biochemistry simple, engaging, and easy to understand. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, academic levels, and goals.
I explain complex biochemical concepts in a clear and structured way, using simple examples, diagrams, flowcharts, and step-by-step explanations. My goal is to help students understand the concepts rather than simply memorize information. I encourage students to ask questions, participate in discussions, and practice solving problems to build their knowledge and confidence.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous topics and an assessment of the student's understanding. I then introduce the main concept, explain it step by step, and use examples and diagrams to make it easier to understand. We work through practice questions together, review important points, and clarify any difficulties before the lesson ends. I also adapt the pace of each session according to the student's needs.
What sets me apart is my patient, supportive, and personalized approach. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring challenging topics. I focus on identifying areas of difficulty and helping students develop a strong foundation in biochemistry while improving their problem-solving skills and exam preparation.
My lessons are suitable for high school students studying introductory biology and chemistry, as well as college and university students taking biochemistry and related life science courses. Topics include biomolecules, proteins, amino acids, enzymes, enzyme kinetics, carbohydrates, lipids, metabolism, glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, cellular respiration, DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis.
