About Brian
I am an enthusiastic life long learner with experience teaching medical students both on the wards and in the classroom. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience and I am currently pursuing a medical degree and I am in my final year. I have therefore spent the last nine years in Higher Education! My interest in teaching grew from the time I started and chaired the first peer-to-peer teaching organisation at my alma-mater six years ago. Since then both my the organisation and my teaching experience has grown and I am now actively involved with teaching within the medical school.
Having recently gone through the English educational system and graduated with the top marks in my high school's history for the IB Diploma- I am both familiar and understand the challenges and stresses of getting through pre-university exams. I am confident I will be able to support students rebuild their confidence and simplify what previously seemed difficult to understandable chunks.

"If you cannot explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough"- Albert Einstein
There is great truth in the above statement, in that regardless of the complexity of the subject matter knowledge should be imparted through the simplest and clearest explanations. By stripping down apparently complex topics down to first principles I believe it is the tutor's role to build fundamental knowledge in a step-wise manner and bridge any existing gaps in knowledge. This is my approach to teaching and it is accompanied with patience and attentiveness to the learners need.
Recommendations
Recommendations are written by the tutor's friends, family, and acquaintances.
I have worked with Brian for the last four years initially as an educational supervisor and later I got to know him as a colleague and a friend. He is a really special person. Quick, sharp, spending a great deal of time focusing on detail without losing focus on the big picture. He is understanding, patient and approachable and his curiosity drives his great thirst for knowledge. All this comes with a beguiling charm and a love for establishing genuine and worthwhile connections. He will go out of his way to get the best out of his students.
