I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a Master’s degree and Royal Academy of Music with an undergraduate degree. As well as teaching, I am a freelance viola player and regularly work with the BBC Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

I am a violin and viola teacher with over eight years experience. I teach a range of all standards and ages. I’m passionate about providing inspiring and fulfilling lessons which are both enjoyable for myself and my students.
I am very happy to accept students of any standard and work with them to build on the skills they have already established, or to start from the very beginning. I find that teaching is often a form of problem solving and love to find different approaches to solve any difficulties my students may have.
In our first lesson we would discuss your aims and preferences and set some goals. I find it important to expand a range of skills including technique, musicality, and both rhythmic and listening skills.
I am flexible with my lesson times and will do my best to accommodate the schedules and needs of my students.
