About Megan
Hi there I am Megan!
A Cellist, Orchestral Musician and Teacher. I am incredibly passionate about the essential role music plays in development and education. It is a privilege and joy providing the next generation with the tools to express themselves, collaborate with one another and inspire curiosity!
Studying cello full time since 2018 (including The Royal College of Music for my masters!) has provided me with the analytical skills to assess how technical aspects of playing the cello are achieved from a physiological and psychological perspective. This technical understanding allows me to be clear and prescriptive with students on how they can best overcome technical difficulties and express the music fully. An essential part of teaching that I am very passionate about is teaching students how to practice and providing them with the skills to most efficiently practice individually.

Creating a supportive and encouraging environment is always a top priority, enabling students to develop their technique, musicality, and confidence as musicians in a positive and fun setting.
Lessons are always crafted to suit the individual students needs and abilities, focusing on goals and repertoire that inspires individuals to progress and enjoy the learning process.
Experienced in teaching with a variety of teaching methodology, establishing a solid technique and practise method is an essential part of my teaching routine.
