About Philippe
I have been teaching French and Spanish for 50 years and my students have enjoyed outstanding academic success in their language studies: at sixth form level my students' results have consistently been above national average in both pass and higher grade categories.
I have taught in comprehensive schools, a public school and sixth-form colleges (2).
I never use a book as I prefer devising home-made resources and in so doing my students' learning is personalized and the teaching and learning process is pitched at the right level.

The teaching and learning process is student-focused enabling me to meet my students' needs and help them do themselves full justice.
I started teaching French and Spanish in 1976 in a comprehensive school and was appointed head of French in 1977, head of MFL in 1979. I was appointed head of MFL at the Royal Naval school for girls in January 1993 and Head of MFL at Strode's College in September 1994 until August 2013 when I retired. I started teaching again as French and Spanish lecturer at Woking sixth-form college in January 2015.
