About Abbie
I am an enthusiastic, hard-working, and high-achieving individual with a passion for education, driven by a desire to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences, development, and results. Motivated by the knowledge that I'm making an impact, I find teaching to be a greatly rewarding and fulfilling job, and have previously received much positive feedback from my students about their experiences, both in terms of their enjoyment as well as their learning outcomes/progression.

I'm a friendly and experienced tutor, with a passion for helping others develop their skills and knowledge. With over 16 years of musical knowledge/experience and 8 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages, both in preparation for exams such as the 11+ or GCSEs, as well as more generally improving subject knowledge/understanding. Typically offering 30-60 minute lessons (but happy to accommodate longer sessions), I'm a flexible and adaptable tutor, tailoring my teaching approach to work best with the student and reach their desired goals. I achieved 12 A*s (including Music) at GCSE, and have a first class undergraduate Music degree as well as more recently completing a Masters degree in Music. I also have an enhanced DBS check.
Note: these are sessions tutoring 'Music' as a subject, following school curriculums. However, I do also offer instrumental (piano) and music theory lessons - please get in touch if these are of interest.
