About Simon
I am currently an Associate Director of Creative and Performing Arts at a Sixth Form College in Surrey. My passion still very much lies in the teaching and tutoring of learners. I have experience teaching A Level Film Studies, A Level Media Studies, BTEC Creative Digital Media Production amongst others. I am a Master of Arts Graduate, with a specialism in American Cultural Studies. I also have an NCTJ in Newspaper Journalism and, have worked as a journalist.

My teaching methods are always student / tutee focused. I like to create individualised learning plans, in order to maximise the progress of each person I work with. Regular learning check points, assessments and feedback are all cornerstones of my teaching methodology. I also fundamentally believe that learning should be enjoyable and fun. As such, I try and elicit enthusiasm and commitment from my learners by being enthusiastic and committed myself.
