About Jonathan
I am a tax accountant in Dallas, Texas currently. I went to undergrad in Birmingham, Alabama at Samford University. My mom is a teacher, and she really instilled striving for excellence through education for me. I personally want to work as a professor/teacher when I have the professional qualifications. When I tutor, I like to set goals with the person I am helping. Whether it be to raise a grade, pass a class, or establish a strong base for a future accounting major, I think goals are important in an educational capacity. From there, I like to see where the student is on that track. Learning accounting really has a clear path to it, from learning the Financial Statements, to business models, methods of booking, to more complex fields like tax and audit. The issue with accounting though is that if you miss one of these important ideals when you first pick it up, it really can set you back and make it much harder than it needs to be, so it's important that the student has a solid base of knowledge. I personally work in tax, but have had experience in audit as well, if any students in more advanced classes are looking for help. I have the ability to tutor any student ranging from high school to undergrad. I also can tutor any student in a graduate program needing help with a tax class.
