About Samuel
I am an empathetic and expressive vocal instructor holding a Master of Music degree. Over my four years of teaching experience, I have coached musical theater performers and directed community choir ensembles. I remember a young singer who had a beautiful tone but suffered from debilitating stage fright that caused their pitch to waver.
We practiced visualization techniques and physical grounding exercises alongside their usual vocal scales. They eventually conquered their fear and won the lead role in their school's annual musical production. Helping singers unlock their true emotional power through song is my passion.
Outside of my coaching hours, I perform in local classical recitals and study vocal health research. I strive to maintain a nurturing and positive environment where students feel safe expanding their vocal boundaries. I build vocal agility through physiological awareness, precise ear training, and consistent breath control. We dedicate the opening fifteen minutes of every lesson to relaxed breathing exercises and vocal resonance warmups. Students learn how to support their tone using the diaphragm to prevent throat strain during high notes.
We explore diverse musical styles ranging from classical opera production to modern pop vocal techniques. I emphasize ear training exercises to ensure perfect pitch placement during difficult harmonic shifts. We also analyze song lyrics line by line to develop genuine emotional expression and performance confidence.
This comprehensive vocal training is ideal for students preparing for theatrical auditions, commercial recording sessions, and live competitions. We simulate real stage environments to improve posture, microphone technique, and overall stage presence. This systematic approach ensures that your voice sounds clear and powerful in any venue.
