About Augustus

Hello everyone, I am Augustus, you can call me Kai Yu as well. I was born in Australia and raised in Hong Kong.

I can speak Japanese, English, Cantonese and Mandarin as well. So I can teach you Japanese in 4 different languages:)

I was taking Japanese as a minor in my university.

I have studied Japanese for 7 years. I was qualified JLPT N2 in 2021. I am currently teaching beginner Japanese for 8 months.

When I was 26, I went to Japan for working holiday. I worked at a ski resort in Hokkaido and a resort hotel in Toyama as a waiter. When some Japanese cannot communicate to foreign visitor, I help to translate to them as well.

I know that learning a new language is very hard but don't worry I can help you to speak Japanese fluently and confidently and correct your grammar. Feel free to join my lesson. :)

About the lesson

I will design worksheets and using current textbook as teaching material. Also I will introduce Japanese culture as well as I used to live in Japan for a year. I can teach Kanji as well.

I will provide homework for each student to recap the important concept that they have learned.

The length of each lesson is 60 minutes.

I have been a private beginner Japanese tutor for 8 months.

I can teach beginners and intermediate level (N5-N3) for Japanese and some exam techniques for JLPT as well
