About Aaminah

I’ve always had a passion for helping students achieve their best, and over the past 3 years, I’ve successfully guided many students to places at top independent and grammar schools. Having studied a module on intelligence tests as part of my degree, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how to tailor my teaching methods to help students thrive in the 11+ exams. I’m a young, energetic tutor who believes in an encouraging and motivating approach. With loads of resources and experience across different exam formats (CEM, GL, CSSE, and independent schools), I know what it takes to succeed. My success rate with students is high, and I’m proud to say that many of my students have gained places in their first-choice schools. I’m committed to making every lesson engaging, tailored, and results-driven to give your child the best chance of success. About the lesson

My teaching methodology centres around tailoring lessons to meet each student's specific needs. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, which allows me to develop a personalised plan that focuses on key areas of the 11+ exam—whether that’s CEM, GL, CSSE, or independent school tests. A typical lesson starts with a recap of the previous session to consolidate learning and a starter game, followed by focused practice on areas that need improvement. I use a variety of resources, including practice papers, mock tests, and targeted exercises to ensure your child gets familiar with the types of questions they’ll encounter in the exam. I also focus on building exam techniques and time management skills to help students perform under pressure. I provide tailored homework after each lesson and give detailed feedback, so both parents and students can track progress. Every lesson is designed to be engaging, interactive, and supportive, ensuring students feel motivated and confident throughout their 11+ preparation journey.
