About Thomarrow

Hello! My name is Thomarrow, and I am passionate about helping students develop the social skills and confidence they need to succeed in school, relationships, and everyday life.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In addition, I have nearly three years of experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing individualized support to children and adolescents. Throughout my career, I have helped students strengthen communication skills, build meaningful relationships, improve emotional regulation, and navigate social situations with greater confidence.

My approach is patient, supportive, and evidence-based. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I tailor my teaching methods to meet each learner’s individual needs and goals. I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, practicing new skills, and celebrating their progress.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I use a patient, supportive, and individualized teaching approach that focuses on helping each student build confidence while developing practical social skills they can use in everyday life. Drawing from nearly three years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), I use evidence-based strategies to make learning engaging, effective, and tailored to each student's unique needs.

A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in to discuss goals, strengths, and any challenges the student has recently experienced. From there, I introduce a specific social skill such as starting conversations, maintaining friendships, understanding social cues, emotional regulation, perspective-taking, or conflict resolution. Lessons include direct instruction, modeling, role-playing activities, guided practice, and real-world examples. I also provide constructive feedback and create opportunities for students to practice skills in a supportive environment. Progress is monitored regularly so lessons can be adjusted to meet the student's evolving needs.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic training and hands-on experience working directly with children and adolescents in ABA settings. I understand that every learner is different, and I prioritize building strong relationships with my students to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment. My lessons are ideal for children who want to improve their social communication, build confidence in social situations, strengthen peer relationships, or develop skills related to interactions in school, community, and daily life. Whether a student needs foundational social skills support or help navigating more complex social situations, I am committed to helping them achieve meaningful and lasting growth.
