About Paula
My name is Paula and I'm from Lisbon, Portugal.
I recently move to London, after 5 years living in Italy, where I taught Portuguese language, literature and culture to students with different reasons to learn this beautiful language (I know, I'm not impartial!)
I have a 4 years degree in Philosophy and awaiting my PhD Viva in Political science.

I really like to teach and for a beginner the method that I use is:
1. conversation...a lot, you need to get familiar with the language sounds and the rhythm. I know you probably just know a word, like "obrigada/o" but...you'll get there quickly for a dialogue (of course you'll have to repeat and repeat and repeat..)
2. Grammar...yes, I know.. not completely exciting...but step by step it will became!
3. Homework...yes! Practice is the secret of any development. This could be some exercises from a book, just listen to music or watching Portuguese news outlets...
