About Liam

I have a strong academic background and significant tutoring experience, having worked with a range of students at my previous university and through online tutoring platforms.

Beyond this, I am a part-time masters student at UCL and have a First-Class Honours Degree in BA History from the University of Leeds. In my undergraduate history dissertation I received a grading of 87 - the best in my cohort - and have interests far beyond this subject.

I really enjoy teaching and truly believe in the utmost importance of education, as demonstrated by the fact that I founded an e-learning start-up last year purposed to accelerate the personal and professional development of young people.

About the lesson

Essay-writing is like a formula, the content may change, but there are some key, transferable principles which will ensure you always receive the highest marks. By systematically analysing a wide variety of data or information from all angles, before providing innovative yet logical conclusions, this ensures that you will receive the top marks available.

I have assisted students in many subjects including History, English, Business, and Economics. I have also helped students with other subjects beyond my specific knowledge such as engineering, by focusing on the structure, formatting, and academic writing of the essay.

I also strongly believe in the importance of relaying these transferable, foundational skills to students so that they can develop their own analytical mindset and more effectively convey opinions within their writing across different subjects in the future.
