About Michael

I'm a 28-year-old native English speaker from Nottinghamshire, England. I love playing piano, guitar, singing, learning languages, travelling, sport, drawing, watching films, reading and writing.

I have a 1st English BA degree from the University of Nottingham and an accredited TEFL qualification from the TEFL Academy. For several years, I have been informally teaching English to French and German speakers in exchange for their help in learning French and German; I understand language learning from the learner's perspective.
I have a lot of experience in business settings, as well as in writing academic essays and preparing for exams. I will be able to help with a lot of your requirements. I also have experience teaching table tennis to secondary school students, which was very fun and rewarding.

I have a very wide range of hobbies and interests, and I have no doubt that I can make our lessons engaging for you.

About the lesson

I aim to help you learn English in a fun, simple, and effective way! My lessons will be catered towards what you want to learn. After a free 30-minute consultation, which I will use to plan the next lesson if you want to continue, my lessons will last one hour.

I will try to include varied activities so that I can understand how you learn most easily. I will speak clearly - and slowly if required - and I can change my speaking level to fit your ability. I will aim to find the right balance between pushing your ability, and keeping your learning fun, which is an important priority. I believe that people improve much faster in things if they enjoy doing them.

My lessons are for all ages and for all levels. If you want to learn English, I want to teach you!
