About Myles
Myles is currently studying for his Masters in Music at the RNCM with Peter Wilson. Myles’ operatic roles include 2nd Priest, and Pappageno (Cover) in the Magic Flute for Hurn Court opera, and Strephon in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe. He has also performed in the chorus of RNCM’s production of Pilgrims progress, and will play Scaramuccio in this December’s production of Ariadne auf Naxos. In opera scenes at the RNCM, Myles has performed the roles of Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Don Giovanni (Title), Bobinet (La vie Parisienne) and Le Comte (Cherubin). Myles has recently performed in masterclass with Christopher Purves, and has also sung in masterclass with Ian Partridge at the Oxford Lieder Festival. Myles’ song repertoire includes Butterworth’s Shropshire lad, Vaughan William’s Songs of Travel, and Beethoven’s An die ferne geliebte. Myles’ concert repertoire includes Vaughan Williams Five Mystical Songs. Myles' concert experience includes performing the bass solos in Handel's Messiah with the Nottingham Harmonic choir, and in Vaughan WIlliam's 'Serenade to music' at the Mclellan Arts Festival. He would like to thank the Francis Higgins award for their amazingly kind support for his ongoing studies at the RNCM.

Whether you are preparing for an ABRSM or Trinity graded exam, or want to learn how to sing your favourite songs and arias, my vocal lessons are for you! Together, we can work on a variety of styles of music, such as musical theatre, pop and classical. Building a healthy, aesthetic vocal technique, including work on breathing, posture, imagination and performance interpretation, how to approach repertoire, and vocal health.
We will work together to diagnose any vocal issues and create a plan to remedy them. I can prepare you for exams, choral singing and improve your general musicianship. Every student receives individual help and support covering successful practice help, habit building, goal setting, and how to successfully warm up for a performance, all using elements from Dalcroze & Alexander technique. We will work together to find suitable, fun repertoire tailored to your goals!
