About Dawn
I have worked in a primary school setting for 22 years. 16 years at a London school where I also gained HLTA status and covered classes in the teachers absence. In 2014 I moved to Somerset and now work in a rural village school where recently I gained SEN TA qualification. I currently work as a general TA mornings and my afternoons are for Interventions to improve children's learning gaps. Some interventions I can cover are: Phonics, EAL, Coloured Semantics, Zones of regulation(EBD) reading/comprehension, spellings. In the last couple of years I had worked with a looked after child who had low self-esteem , EBD and below average gaps inter learning, it was lovely to see the child engaging in their learning and to see them leave the school a more able and confident child due to the level of support and intervention I was able to offer.
