About Ruth
I have been teaching piano for 14 years, guiding students of all ages—from young beginners to college students and working professionals—to achieve their musical goals. My teaching philosophy is built on patience, encouragement, and personalized instruction, ensuring that each lesson is engaging, productive, and enjoyable.
I have helped students perform confidently in recitals, participate in competitions, and successfully complete graded exams. Lessons cover technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, and I adapt every session to the student’s level, learning style, and goals.
I aim to make piano learning a fulfilling and inspiring journey that nurtures skill, confidence, and a lifelong love for music.

In piano lessons, I focus on developing technical skills, sight-reading, rhythm, and expressive musicality while fostering creativity and personal expression.
I combine structured exercises with engaging and enjoyable pieces, making learning both challenging and rewarding. Open communication is central to my teaching—I encourage students to ask questions, share their thoughts, and reflect on their progress.
Supportiveness is key—I celebrate achievements, guide students patiently through difficulties, and help them build confidence and self-motivation. This methodology extends to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and beginner improvisation, ensuring lessons remain enjoyable and effective.
My ultimate goal is to provide a positive, inspiring environment where students grow musically, creatively, and personally while cultivating a lifelong love for learning.
