About Rihem

* I am a Year 13 female student (A*A*A predicted) and aspiring medic
* I currently study Chemistry, Biology and Spanish at A-level
* I love travelling, socialising, shopping, reading, sport and baking :)
* I have a dual nationality and can speak 5 languages
* I have had jobs working with people of various backgrounds, conditions and ages. With regards to education, I have taught students of my age as well as younger students (A-level and GCSE level) Biology, Chemistry, Spanish and French, where I would also actively support them with the mental health side of studies.
* I believe that a boring and monotonous tutoring session can’t effectively bring out one’s true capabilities and desire to succeed, which is why I love helping my students to feel comfortable and incorporate an enjoyable atmosphere to their teaching. Beneficial, efficient & enjoyable is the way :)
* I am a passionate and approachable individual who likes to benefit others in every way possible with their learning, organisation and personal growth.

About the lesson

* My teaching method is flexible in terms of what objectives my student would like to meet and so I start by discussing this as well as their preferred/most useful ways of learning. Some sessions may just involve going over school tasks/exams/homework and further practice to nail these. Other times I will organise a lesson and set the student some questions myself, which we would then go over together. These are examples of some methods, but can change and vary from student to student.
*I do initially like to test the student on the subject in general and proceed to picking out their weak areas which we will then focus on.
*I like to enlace helpful tips regarding revision strategy and exam prep within my lessons as well as link the learning of content to the exam scenario. I find it’s a lot more beneficial to identify links between topics and relate them to exams rather than 100% memorising content as it provides much more confidence overall in learning the subject. This also means that the student can gradually build up exam technique/knowledge alongside the learning of content instead of leaving it to just before exam period.
