About Joella
Bonjour!
My name is Joella. I am a recent graduate from College where I studied French, Psychology and English Literature achieving the top grades. I have had various teaching experiences such as mentoring younger children and teaching my younger brothers, helping them to get top marks in their subject tests and distinctions in their instrumental exams. I am an enthusiastic, friendly and patient tutor who is passionate about sharing knowledge with others.
I think that learning languages has many benefits such as learning about other cultures and being able to communicate with a wider range of people. Learning a second language also can improve your memory, provide you with problem solving skills while stretching and challenging your capacity to think creatively.

I aim to provide a friendly environment where students can express themselves freely and not be afraid to make mistakes because we can always learn from them. Tutoring will be tailored to the student and can either be casual or more formal as you wish. The student will be able to control the speed at which they want to learn as well. I am teaching beginner to intermediate level French covering the 4 important areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening. However, if there is something in particular you wish to cover with me such as vocab learning and grammar practice or perhaps more specifically just getting more confident with speaking French, I will happily help with that. Please make this known to me and I will prepare accordingly. I can do 1hr lessons or 30 minute lessons.
