About Holly
Hello there!
I'm an energetic professional ESL teacher for children and adults ranging from the ages of 3-50 with over four years of teaching experience, teaching both English and Drama.
I have a Master’s degree in Acting. I am a Native English speaker and hold a TEFL. I consider myself to be a truly kind and patient teacher with a great sense of humor. I love teaching because I am passionate about inspiring and motivating young children to love English. I want to teach English online because I’m a very patient and enthusiastic teacher, and I truly believe my teaching style will entice the students to learn more and more.
My roles and responsibilities as an English Online Tutor have included:
• Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to children by means of using props, pictures, etc.
• Help students improve their listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills via peer2peer learning.
• Checking and assessing students homework from previous lesson..
• Providing support and motivation for students.
As well as teaching I also have a great interest in Acting. Prior to TEFL I graduated with an Masters in Acting from East 15. I have also applied my Acting to skills to teaching, working as both a Theatre Chaperone and a Drama Workshop Leader. Drama Workshop Leader.
This included:
• Creating and playing interactive drama-based games.
• Devising theatrical productions which they would perform to an audience of friends and family members. I am very excited to continue my teaching journey.
As well as teaching I am an avid traveler; I'm always fascinated to learn about different cultures, different lifestyles, meeting new people and learning about their history. So far I have visited Asia (Cambodia and Thailand) America (New York, Chicago, Arizona, Seattle, Puerto Rico, Europe (Copenhagen, Greece, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic)
I am very excited to continue my teaching journey!
