About Ines
My name is Ines Bertheuil and I have lived my whole life in the UK. Being French and learning a second language on the side was never easy. I want to teach because I know how challenging learning a language can be, and I want to make the process more enjoyable, engaging and less stressful! I particularly enjoy seeing students improve and helping them reach goals they may have initially thought were difficult. I’ll make sure lessons are adapted to your needs, whether you want to improve your grades, prepare for exams or simply become more confident speaking French.

Teaching approach: Lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on their weakest areas and what they want to improve. I set achievable goals and give small, manageable tasks between lessons to reinforce learning if they wish.
Lesson length: anything from 45 minutes +
Qualifications: I am a native French speaker who has previously mentored younger students in a school setting
Who I teach: Students from Year 7 to Year 13, of all abilities. For Year 13 students, I can mostly help with the A Level French works: La Haine and No et moi, as well as exam preparation and essay technique.
My aim: To build confidence, improve accuracy and make learning French enjoyable and effective.
