About Lida-Marie
I am a qualified English teacher and writer. I have over two years teaching experience, in the classroom, and over two years experience as a tutor. This includes classes with up to 25 students in a class and one on one tutoring. I have obtained my Bachelors of Honours in Creative Writing from the University of the Witwatersrand and have completed a 140-hour TEFL course from TEFL on the Beach.

I have given English lessons to young learners and adults. I have based my lesson structures and lesson plans on much of the TEFL methodology, which includes obtaining an idea of the level of knowledge my students possess. I look at each child as an individual, who may have individual difficulties to others within the classroom environment. I strive to make my lessons fun by incorporating games, thus having my students look forward to my classes. I do continuous testing, making sure that my students grasp what I teach them, and that no student is left behind.
I am patient and kind, yet firm and strive to place boundaries in place and create an environment in which students feel free and confident to ask questions.

Cancellation of lessons should be done 24 hours before the lesson takes place. Should a student cancel in less time 50% of the lesson price will be charged.
