Title: Mastering the 8 Parts of Speech
Objective:
By the end of the lesson, students will understand the 8 basic parts of speech and identify them in sentences.
1. Noun
A noun is the name of a person, place, animal, or thing.
Examples: teacher, Delhi, dog, book
2. Pronoun
A pronoun is used instead of a noun.
Examples: he, she, it, they, we
3. Verb
A verb shows an action or state.
Examples: run, eat, study, is
4. Adjective
An adjective describes a noun.
Examples: beautiful, tall, smart, red
5. Adverb
An adverb describes a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
Examples: quickly, slowly, very, carefully
6. Preposition
A preposition shows the relationship between words.
Examples: in, on, under, near, between
7. Conjunction
A conjunction joins words or sentences.
Examples: and, but, because, or
8. Interjection
An interjection expresses sudden emotion.
Examples: Wow! Oh! Hey! Ouch!
