About Sara
I am an English teacher in Montana and my passion is teaching students how to write successfully. I believe it is important that students learn how to write and back up my instruction with a proven framework that breaks down the writing process into an approach that is not overwhelming or hard to understand, but easy to follow and flexible for different topics of writing. I first discovered this framework while I was completing my Master's degree and went from spending hours writing essays to writing essays in 30 minutes. My main mission is to teach students how to write successfully since so often students are just expected to know how to write without any instruction.

I am an English teacher passionate about teaching students how to write successfully. I teach students a framework that breaks the writing process into easy, approachable steps based on the specific style of writing they are completing. I can help students strengthen their writing for a variety of styles including argumentative, persuasive, research, expository, and narrative. Students will specifically dive into using the prompt as a guide for their writing, outlining their writing with a claim/thesis, main ideas, and supporting details, writing their essay with descriptive details and a variety of sentence structure based on your outline, and lastly proofreading your essay to review grammar, tone, word choice, and clarity of writing. Students completing the Pre-ACT or ACT essay have consistently had high scores using the argumentative framework approach. In addition to learning the framework approach for the style of writing they are completing, students will brainstorm a claim/thesis, outline their essay (using the framework), complete the essay, edit, and revise. I will provide modeling and assist students step by step so they understand how to write successfully.
