About Josefina

I am Josefina, an English teacher with the title awarded by the Higher Institute of Teacher and Technical Training No. 134. I perform my role as a teacher at various levels. I work at the Nuestra Señora Institute (primary level), in an English Institute known as Queens Language Services, where among other things, we prepare our primary and secondary level students to take international exams, and in a study center called Enfocate where I carry out communicative English workshops for adolescents and adults.

About the lesson

As for my methodology, I firmly believe that the way of approaching the classes greatly influences when creating MOTIVATION to learn. I am passionate about knowing the preferences of my students and based on them, presenting my classes through different ways. I think that English is usually taught in a very structured and grammatical way, that is why I prioritize COMMUNICATION a lot in my classes, therefore we work and improve both oral production and listening comprehension. In addition, of the students that wish it, I tend to include in my classes the teaching of PHONETICS and English INTONATION, two factors that mark an abysmal change in the PRONUNCIATION of the language. I always seek to create a pleasant and pleasant learning environment so that in this way my students feel confident to ask any questions or concerns they have. In addition to this, I am a committed and diligent person, I prioritize the well-being and needs of my students, I like to listen to them and allow them an active participation in their classes. Regarding the INTERNATIONAL EXAMS, I have experience preparing students to take them. My methodology is to work on the one hand practicing different mocks and on the other hand reinforcing with theory (grammar / phrasal verbs / speaking phrases / writing connectors, etc) as well as various oral activities to improve fluency and spontaneity. Last but not least, I can say that in addition to teaching, I am passionate about learning to teach. I am constantly seeking to improve myself in teaching and related fields in order to continue teaching. It is by sharing that learning becomes truly valuable.
