My name is Ashley, I am 25 (going on 26) years old. I speak with an accent that is of a British and Australian mix (having lived in London before returning to Australia).

I currently work at the Brisbane branch of Navitas – a wonderful school of English which has just received a terrific net promoter score by our students.

I have decided to relocate to LONDON permanently..

I am a vibrant teacher who loves to be creative and think ‘outside of the box’ - I like to use English PRACTICALLY - not just the theory! I will not always teach from a textbook as I want my students to use real, relevant and practical English and use it in a real situation. For example, if we are learning how to ask for something in a shop, I will take my student to a shop where they can ask real questions to real people. Don't be afraid of mistakes! That is my job!

I also LOVE GRAMMAR and believe that students must practice, practice, practice! Worksheets are the king!

I strongly believe that there must always be discipline and respect in my classroom as I believe that students must learn in a safe, respectful and loving environment that encourages effort, embraces mistakes and allows students to blossom. I also firmly believe that this is a two way street and ensure that students can expect the same respect back from me.

Most of all teaching comes down to love for me; I love what I do, I love my students and I love being an inspiration for my students. I love teaching and its various challenges, ups and downs and everything we face in a classroom. I love the English language (as complicated and she can be) and I love sharing English with my class.
