About Anna

I have 12 years of experience working with Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking adults who want to change how they speak English. My method is based on biomechanics and kinesiology. We explore the muscular coordination involved in English speech and distinguish it from the patterns already established through speaking Russian or Ukrainian. I use vocalisation as a tool in this work; it is not a set of vocal exercises or singing training. The aim is to address accent at a visceral, physical level and help English-speaking listeners understand you more naturally. Lessons can be held in Russian or Ukrainian.

About the lesson

These one-to-one online sessions are based on biomechanics and kinesiology. We do not work on individual sounds. Instead, we explore the muscular coordination used in English speech, rather than relying on patterns formed through Russian or Ukrainian. We use vocalisation and songs as tools to explore and develop a new way of producing sound. Songs provide a practical context in which to embody this new coordination. By changing speech coordination at a visceral, physical level, the method aims to remove accent at its root and help native English speakers understand you more naturally. We adapt the work to your speech habits and goals. No singing experience is needed.
