About Harriet

Hello! I’m Harri and I have recently graduated with a first in History from the University of Oxford. I have been a tutor for 7 years now, which speaks to how much I truly am passionate about teaching! I am a bubbly, caring and engaged person, who has always loved learning. I try to encourage my students to always find their interests and passions within the subject they are learning about. My credentials speak to my belief that hard work, focus and enthusiasm pays off in your studies. Degree: BA History - University of Oxford (first - 1.1) A-levels: Mathematics - A* History - A* Politics - A* EPQ - A* GCSE: 3 9s - English Lit, Lang, and Maths 8A*s, 1A - various other subjects

About the lesson

Having studied and achieved all A*s in my Maths, History and Politics A-levels, and attended a UK grammar school, I have experience teaching students of all ages (9-18). Traditionally, I have successfully tutored for the 11+, English and Maths (up to GCSE levels) and History and Politics A-level, as well as EPQ practice. I have tutored both privately, in a tuition centre and created engaging content for tuition sites for years now, and love the work I do! Over these years, I have accumulated lots of revision, studying, essay writing, maths problem-related tips and tricks which I love to share with my students, to help their studies feel less overwhelming. I really try to inject lots of fun and enthusiasm into my lessons, as I want to encourage my students to love learning and the progress that can come with it! I love to approach my lessons with a really positive and encouraging attitude, as see tutoring as a collaborative process - how can we work together to make sure you achieve what you need with our lesson?
