My teaching method focuses on formulating strong arguments. A concise yet well developed thesis is the first -and most crucial- step in writing a strong essay. Pulling together the student’s ideas and suggesting planning methods will be my main focus.
For students seeking to improve textual analysis for literature exams, I will lead sessions which deepen their understanding of the core texts (themes, historical context etc.). We will also work on developing analytical skills by practicing with extracts from texts beyond the syllabus.
