About Isabella
Hi, I’m Isabella! I’m an English Literature tutor with a First-Class degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds. At A-Level, I studied English, History and Philosophy, achieving A* grades in all three. I’m based in South West London and happy to travel if transport costs are covered. I also provide online lessons, making it easy to work together from anywhere.

I tutor English Literature at KS3, GCSE, A Level and degree level. My main experience is with AQA English Literature GCSE and OCR English Literature A Level, but I’m always happy to work with other exam boards too. My teaching style is friendly, supportive and structured; I aim to inspire a love of literature while helping students achieve their target grades. I believe learning works best when it’s engaging and practical, so in my lessons I use a mixture of repetition and active practice to build confidence and understanding. GCSE sessions might include analysing key quotes to aid memorisation and analysis, creating mind maps, writing example paragraphs and marking them together. A-Level sessions often focus on developing flexible essay plans that can be adapted to unseen questions, and exploring contextual details that help secure higher grades. Whether you’d like help preparing for assessments, improving essays, or simply enjoying literature more, I’d love to support you!
