About Amy
I am a postgraduate Law student with a first class degree in English and History from the University of Leeds. I have a year of experience tutoring English for GCSE and A-Level students with a track record of improving results by a grade or more. I am committed to helping students succeed and bringing out both their talent and passion for the subject. I have quality checked lesson plans and am up to date with all the latest requirements for the subject. I am also comfortable with tutoring degree level students.

I have been through qualified tutor training with the Tutor Trust in Leeds, so my teaching method is verified. I believe in inspiring passion and interest in the subject with 5 minute starter activities, and I always give homework to read around the subject, either with me suggesting books or asking students to choose their own. My sessions are structured to make sure that the most is achieved in the time we have, and I use visual aids such as fun powerpoints or acting to make sure students are able to understand the more abstract concepts of the subject. As the sessions go on and I discover the student's way of learning, I will tailor my sessions to meet these learning needs.
