About Meg
Hello, I'm Meg - a dedicated tutor of English Literature, Language and Drama. Having graduated with a First Class Honours degree in English Literature from Durham University in 2023, I bring expertise and enthusiasm to my tutoring.
Over the past three years, I have been tutoring English Literature, English Language and Drama to students across various levels, including KS3, GCSE, A Level and University. As a result, I have extensive knowledge of many UK curriculums, including AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas and CCEA.
If you need help with essay writing, close reading, identifying and analysing literary or dramatic techniques, improving academic expression, achieving higher grades or assistance with exam revision, I am here to help!
I work flexibly to suit the needs of students. Whether you'd like biweekly, weekly, fortnightly or one-off sessions, we can arrange a programme that works best for your schedule.

I plan each session to suit the unique requirements of each student. My sessions are interactive; instead of lecturing students, I encourage them to express their thoughts, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter. I aim for students to remain engaged throughout, leaving the session feeling like they have contributed to the discussion with creative and original thoughts. I always provide useful resources and model examples, equipping students with all the materials necessary to succeed.
In addition to academic support, I am also dedicated to helping students build confidence in their abilities. Through constructive feedback, encouragement, and a positive learning atmosphere, I aim to empower students to excel academically. Following each session, I send parents a detailed lesson report.
Ultimately, through collaborative sessions, I believe we can work together to build upon the skills needed for academic success.
