About Rosie
My name's Rosie. I am a first-year student at the University of Edinburgh studying English Literature and Philosophy. I have had experience tutoring younger children while I was working as an au-pair in Sicily. I have a D3 (a grade equivalent) in Cambridge Pre-U Philosophy and got two A*'s for English Literature and Langauge in my GCSE's. I have also done my yoga teacher training which focusses heavily on different teaching methods, as well as good communication.

I like to adjust my teaching method depending on the student and what we are covering. As a rule, I like to begin a class by quickly recapping what we covered last time before setting out what I'd like us to achieve that day. This just allows us to take the time to recap if needs be and allows the student to raise any questions they might have thought of since the last session. After this we can cover the day's topic according to what they need to look at most/the curriculum they are following for their exam or test.

Rosie is an empathetic communicator who really understands her subject. She is very well qualified and really enjoys sharing her knowledge. She is thoughtful and sympathetic and enjoys engaging with people.
Rosie is an exceptionally tuned in being with a deep love and depth of knowledge of English literature. She is able to assess and advise students on how to develop their writing skills and their understanding of texts. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
