About Sherry

Sherry Schafer is a professional English language teacher with over ten years of experience teaching speaking, reading, listening, and writing. She has taught English at a university, language schools, and in-home for private lessons. She is able to teach basic level English for communication, as well as academic and TOEFL English. Her students range from kids to adults from all around the world. She is friendly and her expertise will help you quickly reach your language goals.

About the lesson

As my student, when I first meet you, I'll ask you some questions about your goals in learning English and what particular areas you'd like to focus on improving. As I get to know you, I'll try to get a sense of what your English level is, and recommend a course of action for improving your skills. I will then create a personalized lesson plan for you that is interesting, fun, and effective for improving your skills.

I have experience teaching a wide range of people, from kids to adults, from countries all around the world. I can teach beginning to advanced-level English. I also have a masters degree in TOEFL and Linguistics, and have taught at the college-level.

Jérôme was very friendly and did a great job communicating his strengths and weaknesses with English. We decided that for future lessons, we will focus on conversation, and spend a bit of time on pronunciation and learning vocabulary.
