About Lindiwe
I am a Swazi-born educator who has been residing in South Africa since 2006 and began teaching at a public school in the country in 2008. I have been teaching English and SiSwati Home and First Additional Languages and Life Orientation. I have nineteen years’ experience as an educator. I pay meticulous attention to my work and written documents, having practiced languages for this duration in Swaziland and South Africa at a public school, private school, and at an online home school currently. This teaching experience enables me to be highly adaptable to different work environments and gives me a broad understanding of the education landscape in the era of digitalization. I hold a BA Humanities, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (University of Swaziland), BA Honours Communication Science (University of South Africa) and I am currently studying for a Masters in Business Administration (University of Witwatersrand). I am a firm believer in lifelong learning.

I use a learner-centred approach as I believe that learners bring prior experience to the classroom. I encourage learners to draw from their experiences to understand concepts or even apply them to real-life situations. Discussions, online videos, and illustrations are used in my lessons. I am proficient in English, SiSwati, and Zulu. In a typical lesson, we introduce the topic, learners speak about their ideas on it—what they expect to learn about (pre-learning). During the lesson, we unpack the topic to see if it meets expectations and what it is really about. Discussions, question and answer sessions, and at the end, we highlight the key points learned with a reasonable amount of work for practice for learners. I do prefer interactive sessions where learners express themselves. My lessons are aimed at Grade 7-12 learners—National Senior Certificate curriculum.
