About Rose
I am currently a third-year BA History student at Trinity College Dublin, where I have maintained a 1st. I have years of experience not only in teaching English and History, but also in studying these subjects, which has only greatly enhanced my essay-writing techniques. I have 9s in English Literature, English Language and History IGCSEs and A*s in English Literature, History and Politics A-Levels. I attained an A* in my EPQ while in secondary school which I have assisted students with in the past.

I started tutoring in 2019, teaching multiple students during my time in sixth form and at university. I seek to help learners develop their writing and critical thinking skills in order to achieve the top grades. I have worked with school children at all ages, from 11+ tutoring to A-Levels. I take a person-centred approach, striving to ensure that my lessons are tailored to that particular individual and their academic goals. I focus on increasing students' confidence in their given subjects, from effectively articulating their thoughts in their essays to planning responses under time pressure. I have especially helped with honing essay writing skills. I focus on ensuring that students can not only understand the course content, but develop their own critical thinking on topics in order to construct essays which demonstrate fluid, synthesised arguments capable of attaining the highest grade. I offer a free trial lesson for prospective students to discuss their needs.
