About Zeina
I am a writer, musician, and lover of learning. I came to tutoring after teaching in the classroom because I realised that I love working with students one on one. In my sessions with my students, I prioritise their learning needs and individual preferences as there is no one size fits all approach. While I hold my students to high standards, I am also flexible and understanding. I believe that learning is a very personal and unpredictable experience, and my role as a tutor is to support my students in this process.

I believe in teaching towards independence. My methodology as a tutor includes a three-step process in which I customise my approach to meet my students' needs, help them master their chosen exam or subject, and in doing so, teach them the fundamental critical thinking and study skills that will make me obsolete! In my view, successful tutoring helps a student learn how to learn regardless of the material. I've been a private tutor for over 10 years and have worked with students of all ages, ranging from primary school to university. I've worked with several tutoring companies, both in the U.S. and in the U.K., and I'm familiar with a wide range of educational programmes, including the IB programme, the American high school system, and the U.S. college entrance exam system. I also have extensive experience as an academic tutor, with a particular focus on primary and secondary school maths, English literature, and essay writing. My sessions are typically 1-2 hours long depending on the student's needs and preparation timeframe. I meet with student once a week at a minimum or more if needed.
