About Candes

3 years experience I am a vibrant individual who loves the outdoors and is very adventurous. I have been teaching a group of 15 students at a time and we had lots of fun through learning. I am excited and passionate about teaching and my main objective is to teach others skills. I meet my learners at their level and we move along together. I have a relaxed learning style that puts students at ease and makes them willing to learn new things, because I provide easy-to-learn, useful tools. I also correct in a calm way, so that it's memorable for students or learners. It is my role as an educator to support and motivate my students to live authentically and courageously, to accept others despite the differences there might be between them and to immerse themselves into learning more about the world they live in—despite the fact that the world does not always make accommodations for them. The ideal learning environment is endlessly engaging and fun. My curricula always consist of hands-on, project-based learning. My classroom acts as a safe space for students to express themselves even when they are struggling. To ensure that this occurs, I commit to using only positive teaching rather than punishment and discipline, being emotionally available to my students and weaving in emotional intelligence into our lessons, and developing and packaging a curriculum that is considerate and representative of the diversity in the classroom and the community at large.
