About Nzuzo
• Mechatronic Engineering Intern/Technologist Nuwater Global
Full-time (2018 January-August)
In order to obtain my National Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) I did an internship at Nuwater Global.
As an intern I would assist in the design and construction of portable water purification units built from re-purposed shipping containers. This included drawing electrical diagrams, P&ID skids, mechanical/pipe fitting, motor/pump specing, electrical wiring of control panels, PLC programming, basic hand skills, power tool training in the workshops, and research and development to further automate our water purification plants.
Towards the end of my internship I got to manage my own project which became my final academic project as well.
The company also let me decommission and commission two plants in the Northern Cape at a later stage.

Full-time (2019 January- to date)
I am currently doing a voluntary internship at Vision Elevators while studying my Btech: Mechatronics at CPUT.

Since I've been a full time student recently I find that learning methodologies in progressive steps are the ideal way to allow information to be memorized. Not only that but the learning process must be both rewarding and leave the learner with a sense of self achievement.
With my industrial work experience coupled with my recently specialized knowledge aquired through years of study, I aim to enlighten students by helping them make practical sense of the subjects they feel unsure about.
To not only make sense of electrical, programming and mechanical based modules; but to also make sense of the world.
