About ROHIT

Hello, I am Rohit Upadhya, an engineer by education, a marketer by profession, an entrepreneur by choice, and a teacher by passion.

My journey has not followed a straight line, and that is something I value about it.

I graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering and later completed my MBA in Marketing Management. Over the past 9 years and 3 months, I have gained experience across different professional environments, including 4 years dedicated to digital marketing.

Today, I am the Founder of Digitophile, a digital marketing agency based in Siliguri, and a digital marketing trainer who has had the opportunity to train over 100 learners.

But qualifications and experience are only part of my story.

What I enjoy most is making complicated things simple.

I have always believed that understanding something is far more valuable than memorizing it. I enjoy asking questions, exploring how things work, learning new technologies, and finding practical ways to solve problems.

I also understand how frustrating learning can become when someone explains a simple concept using complicated terminology.

That is why I teach differently.

I like using everyday examples, real business situations, live demonstrations, and conversations that encourage students to think rather than simply follow instructions.

If I am teaching SEO, I want my students to understand why a website deserves to rank, not just which buttons to click. If I am teaching advertising, I want them to understand customer behavior, budgets, targeting, and business outcomes, not merely how to launch a campaign.

I believe that a good teacher should develop independent thinkers, not dependent learners.

Through my teaching journey, I have worked with students from different educational and professional backgrounds. Some wanted their first job, some wanted to explore freelancing, and others wanted to build personal brands or grow their businesses.

Watching learners become more confident, ask better questions, and begin applying their knowledge independently is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

Outside the classroom, I continue working on real digital marketing projects involving SEO, performance marketing, websites, analytics, content strategy, and AI-powered marketing. This keeps my knowledge connected to the changing industry rather than limited to textbooks.

I am particularly interested in how artificial intelligence is transforming marketing, but I firmly believe that technology should support human creativity, judgment, and critical thinking rather than replace them.

There are a few things I strongly believe in:

- Learning should be simple, practical, and accessible.
- Every student deserves patience and individual attention.
- Asking questions is a sign of curiosity, not weakness.
- Skills develop through practice, mistakes, feedback, and consistency.
- Genuine knowledge and confidence matter more than certificates alone.

I do not believe in promising overnight success, guaranteed jobs, or unrealistic freelance earnings. I would rather help someone build a strong foundation that continues to serve them long after our classes end.

Why do I teach?

Because I know how much difference the right guidance can make when someone is trying to learn a new skill, change careers, or find a direction.

My own journey from engineering to marketing taught me that a person's career does not have to be limited by their original degree.

If my experience can help someone discover a new opportunity, become more confident, or build a career they genuinely enjoy, then sharing that knowledge is worthwhile.
