About Kellan

With 5 years of experience in teaching and music performance, I am a dedicated violin tutor who believes strongly in the power of education. Music has shaped my personal and professional life, and teaching allows me to pass this knowledge on to the next generation.

I teach violin to school and college students, working with beginners as well as experienced learners. A major milestone in my career has been seeing students improve steadily and perform confidently after overcoming initial challenges.

My lessons focus on building a strong foundation. I teach correct posture, bowing techniques, intonation, rhythm, and tone quality. I also include basic music theory and ear training to help students understand music more clearly.

My teaching style is calm, supportive, and structured. I believe students learn best when they feel encouraged and confident. I guide students patiently and help them set realistic goals for continuous improvement.

Music education is a lifelong journey, and my goal is to help students enjoy every step of it. I aim to inspire a lasting love for the violin while supporting students in achieving their personal and musical goals.

About the lesson

I take a holistic approach to violin teaching, emphasising motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity. I believe that students learn best when they feel inspired, supported, and understood. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s abilities, goals, and personal interests, making music both challenging and fun.

Motivation drives my teaching—I encourage students to set realistic goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements, helping them develop a sense of accomplishment. Communication is vital: I provide clear instructions, answer questions, and maintain an interactive dialogue, ensuring students are always engaged and confident.

Creativity plays a central role. I incorporate improvisation, composing, and personal expression to help students develop their unique musical voice. Integrity is at the heart of my teaching, guiding students to practise consistently, respect their craft, and develop focus and discipline.

In addition to violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, strengthening overall musicianship. My methodology is designed to help students grow technically, creatively, and emotionally, fostering a deep love and lifelong connection with music.
