About Sam
Hello! I'm Sam, a political science and finance student at the University of Notre Dame. I served as President of Speech and Debate at the University of Notre Dame from 2023-2026. In over 7 years of competitive debate, an experienced private tutor, I've worked with hundreds of students in AP US, World, and European history, both US and Comparative Government and Politics, and AP Human Geography. For as long as I can remember, I've been passionate about history and the humanities, and I relish the opportunity to help a student love it as I do, especially through debate. I debated throughout high school and was the captain of my team.
I offer the highest standard of debate preparation available on SuperProf, and giving students the gold standard of support is my main priority.

Sam does a great job explaining difficult concepts, in part due to the way he presents information, but also largely due to his high level of expertise. I am studying for AP exams right now, and he is super understanding and able to clarify any last minute questions or hesitancies I might have. I definitely recommend trying a lesson with him!
My children were having difficulty in European History. Sam spent four lessons with them and their grades improved. He was generous with his time and remains a close family friend even after my children graduated.
I’ve known Sam for years and I’ll keep working with him as long as I’m taking a history class. I haven’t dropped below a 96 in three years thanks to him.
