About Lacey
I am a Piano tutor with more than 20 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 1300 students. My passion is helping learners develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and musical excellence through engaging and personalized instruction.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with beginners, advanced performers, examination candidates, competition participants, and students pursuing music both professionally and recreationally. This experience enables me to adapt lessons to different goals and learning styles.
Many students have earned distinction grades, performed successfully in recitals, participated in competitions, and progressed toward advanced musical studies through my guidance and mentorship.
My goal is to help every learner become a confident and expressive pianist while developing skills that provide lifelong artistic fulfillment and enjoyment.

My Piano lessons are designed to help students develop technical precision, musical understanding, artistic confidence, and performance excellence through a structured and progressive learning approach. Lessons cover Classical Piano, Contemporary Piano, Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, Improvisation, Musical Interpretation, Composition Fundamentals, and Performance Preparation.
Students begin by mastering posture, hand positioning, rhythm control, note reading, finger independence, coordination, and listening skills. These essential foundations help learners build confidence while establishing the technical framework required for advanced piano studies.
As students progress, lessons expand into scales, arpeggios, advanced repertoire, expressive phrasing, improvisation, recital preparation, composition development, and performance psychology. Students learn how to communicate emotion and creativity through music while maintaining strong technical standards.
Music theory is integrated into practical performance activities, allowing students to immediately apply concepts through repertoire, improvisation, and creative projects. Personalized practice plans and regular evaluations ensure continuous growth and musical development.
