About Melissa
Hi, I'm Melissa. I have worked with children for roughly 15 years in various educational roles. I have also worked with adults with developmental disabilities.
Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember, but I only pursued teaching as a career about 4 years ago. I have extensive training in math curriculum, English language arts and resilience based education techniques.
I believe that children are a treasure for our world and it is our duty to prepare them in the best ways possible.

My goal is to help you or your child be successful and fill in gaps caused by the speed with which schools are forced to cover subjects.
I offer tutoring in English language arts, including grammar, writing, and reading. I offer reading intervention support for struggling readers.
Additionally, I offer tutoring in elementary mathematics.
My lessons are designed to accommodate multiple learning styles with visual, verbal, and hands on practice when available.
