About Tiru
I am a professional and experienced Flute tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for academic study, personal enjoyment, or professional growth. My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-focused, with special attention to correct breathing techniques, posture alignment, finger coordination, tone development, and rhythm accuracy.
I believe strong fundamentals help students build confidence and improve steadily. Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and performance basics to support complete musical development.
I also help students prepare for exams, auditions, and performances. My strength lies in explaining musical concepts clearly, providing structured practice routines, and offering regular feedback to help students grow confidently.

I use a flexible and creative approach to teaching flute that is built on communication, support, and active engagement. I explain every concept in simple language and provide demonstrations so students can learn effectively. Open communication helps students feel confident to ask questions and express difficulties.
Creativity is incorporated through warm-ups, rhythm and tone exercises, improvisation, and expressive playing to make lessons engaging and motivating. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning pace, skill level, and goals, whether for exams, performances, or personal growth.
Flute instruction includes breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. Additionally, I teach related subjects such as music theory, note reading, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation to ensure students develop a complete musical foundation.
