There can be different views of 'Teaching Philosophy depending on the types/levels of institutions as well as the characteristics of individual teacher. However, the key message of Teaching Philosophy should be based on the following sentence:

"Students are the ‘heart’ of any academic institutions"

Academicians of different majors can explain the teaching philosophy in different ways. As an engineering university teacher/researcher, I can say, the 'Teaching Philosophy' should reflect the important measures how to teach a student to develop his/her creativity to make him/her a self-motivated, self-dependent person. This should include necessary moral teaching as well. Students should know that they are not only for them-selves, they are the assets of the institution, of the country, of the world. They should learn from us how to contribute to the society, to the country, to the world community.
