About Eleanor

I’m a UC Berkeley graduate, a recording artist, and musical theater composer who has written and produced original musicals, released 17 singles. I am currently working on my debut album.

In addition to my work as an artist, I have nearly a decade of experience working with children in schools, camps, and creative programs. I strive to share the craft of songwriting with others, as it helped me in my personal journey immensely.

About the lesson

I tailor every lesson to the individual student, listening closely to their interests and using creative prompts to help them turn everyday experiences, stories, or art into original songs.

In the first lesson, we discuss the student’s musical background, goals, and the music that inspires them. From there, we begin analyzing song structure and developing ideas through creative prompts based on their interests. Students are guided through melody writing and lyric development while building skills in voice, piano, or guitar.

Throughout the process, students receive feedback and revise their work until the song feels complete. We then focus on developing their performance of the piece and building confidence as both performers and creators.

Lessons are available for individuals or groups.
