I have worked with Anuka for multiple years and have seen her teach countless times. She develops positive relationships with her students and teaches each student in a way that best suits their learning style. She creates engaging and unique lessons and listens to the students' voices. Her teaching practice is culturally responsive and relevant. During our time working together, Anuka fostered an "identity day" when students could come dressed as how they identified and bring food from home that they enjoyed/wanted to share. Throughout this special day, Anuka reminded students that every day is "identity day" and that students can always dress how they want and express who they truly are. The students still talk about their experience with Anuka. She is an amazing teacher and would be an incredible asset to any team that she joins.

Anuka helped both our daughters with their English writing. She provided clear feedback that helped them improve their sentence construction, clarity, and vocabulary usage. Her feedback was explained concepts with examples and allows the children to apply her teaching. She has worked on book reports, commentaries, and even short essays. She worked with the girls between the grades 6 and 10 in various stages. We would highly recommend her.
